5. While holding the top and bottom pieces together, tighten the screws to secure the device. Do Not Over Tighten.

6. Check the fit. The top piece, brushes, and bottom piece should all fit flush together. Again slightly rotate clockwise and see that it engages the tip of the bulb.

7. Now just feed and rotate into the vent opening per your augers abilities (hand crank or drill power, manual feed or auto feed). If drill powered, use the lowest rpm.

+ Adjustable Height Models +

1. 3040 Height adapter: Loosen retention clip screw (about 1/8 inch) enough to lift retention clip and rotate it out of the way. Leave the screw in to make re-assembly easier. If the auger bulb is shorter, requiring the height adapter to be threaded most/all the way in, you may want to remove the retention clip and screw completely.

1. 4050 Height Adapter: Remove retention clip screw and retention clip.

2. Using the wrench provided, rotate the height adapter counter-clockwise to remove it from the brush assembly (or hold the wrench in place on the height adapter while rotating the brush assembly).

3. Now, with the height adapter placed in the wrench, make sure the slots on the sides of the adapter and wrench are lined up (same side) and slide them up onto the bottom of the auger bulb.

4. While holding the wrench/adapter, place the brush assembly on top of the auger bulb and rotate it clockwise to thread it onto the adapter until snug. Do Not Over Tighten.

5. Check the fit. There should be very little (or no) up and down play between the brush assembly and auger bulb.

6. 3040 Height Adapter: Rotate the retention clip back towards the center and push down so it is flush with the edge. If you removed the clip, put it back into place.

6. 4050 Height Adapter: Put retention clip back into place. You may need to rotate height adapter counter-clockwise to get the retention clip to line up with the slot in the height adapter.

7. Tighten the screw to hold it in place. Do Not Over Tighten.
